Mount Carmel Matriculation Higher Secondary School had its humble beginning in June 2000 with 19 students, in a rented 1000 sq. ft. shed. In 2005 the school was shifted to the present place. It was recognized by the Tamil Nadu Education Department in 2004 and recognized as a Christian Minority Educational Institution in 2015.

The course of studies prescribed by the Tamil Nadu Government will be followed, preparing the students for Std. X and Std. XII examinations. Students will be encouraged to think on their own and the instincts to create and explore will be developed.
Classrooms are equipped with Smart Boards and White Boards to make learning a joy.
The Physics, Chemistry and Biology laboratories is where students work and understand many difficult concepts easily.
The school follows the SUITS programme which is a certified course in Computer Science and offered by the Bharathidasan University. The Computer Science Lab is equipped with high speed internet. This enables students to learn Math, English and Science through online classes and take quizzes.
The main objective of the Language Lab is to provide students a platform to enhance English language skills, communication skills and to practice soft skills
The school library equips students with lifelong learning skills and develops the imagination. It is a place for learning and thinking. This is the place to improve and enjoy reading.
Transportation can be provided by the school transport vehicles which are fixed with tracking app.
This system is used for safety and security purposes and to monitor student behaviour.
From time to time, parents are updated on their child’s accomplishment.
Scanning and photocopying can be utilized by students.
Sick students are made comfortable in the dispensary. Students with minor injuries during play time are treated with mild medicines.
